Congratulations, you found me!!!! I am excited you are taking this step!
My name is Jataya (pronounced ja-Tay-yuh). I have been clinically licensed Social Worker in NY since 2018 and since have become licensed in NJ, DC and MD. I am a graduate of Stony Brook University classes of '09 and '10. I am a Doctoral student in Public Health with George Washington University. In addition, I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend in my personal life. I believe that although every person faces issues navigating life challenges, life transitions, relationships, or emotional struggles and although you may feel overwhelmed, having a supportive, objective person to talk to can make a meaningful difference.
My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you create the changes you want to see in your life. I am committed to helping you build insight, resilience, and confidence as you work toward your personal goals.
I provide individualized treatment through a holistic, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approach. Recognizing that no two individuals are alike, I tailor treatment to meet your unique needs and circumstances. My therapeutic style integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Crisis-Oriented Interventions.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, grief, self-esteem issues, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to support you throughout your journey.
In addition to individual psychotherapy, I offer specialized services designed to meet clients during significant life circumstances and periods of focused change. My practice provides Immigration Mental Health Evaluations, which are comprehensive clinical assessments that document the psychological, emotional, and social factors relevant to immigration cases. These evaluations provide objective, professional documentation that may support petitions, applications, and court proceedings. I work collaboratively with clients and legal representatives to ensure each evaluation reflects the individual's experiences with accuracy, compassion, and clinical integrity.
For individuals seeking deeper therapeutic work, I also offer an Intensive Therapeutic Growth Program. This focused 9-hour psychotherapy intensive is designed for those who want to make meaningful progress beyond what is often possible in traditional weekly sessions. Conducted over three days, the intensive provides dedicated time to explore recurring patterns, emotional barriers, relationship challenges, and personal goals in a structured and supportive environment. The concentrated format allows for greater reflection, insight, and integration, helping clients move forward with clarity and purpose.
Taking the first step toward therapy is often the hardest part, but you do not have to do it alone. Through the convenience of secure Telehealth services, you can access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. My practice is fully virtual, allowing you to prioritize your mental health without the added stress of travel or scheduling barriers.
Sometimes a new direction begins with a single step. Let this be the beginning of your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
"Before a flower blooms, it requires care, effort, and patience. Growth doesn't stop once it blossoms; it must continue to be nurtured. Don't stand in the way of your own growth and potential by neglecting the work needed to thrive."

I believe everyone is an expert of their individual life; however, it may help in some instances to have a sounding board. Oftentimes it can be hard to find a neutral person who will listen . This is where I would like to come in, I will be there to listen, educate, assist and support you through finding the inner strength you need to make the changes you wish to see. I utilize a blend of therapy techniques that include but are not limited to solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy and psychoanalytic therapy. Remember making the first step is always the hardest but I am here to make the rest just a little easier. Let this new direction be your redirection in the right step.
